Synology failed to apply the settings.
From the beginning the Synology Assistant could find the NAS but with the Status "Connection failed". I tried to set the network settings to a fixed IP recommended by the assistant, I have then tried all of the above by turning of and on and unplugging and plugging back in the power and RJ45-cable, and now the assistant can't find the NAS at all!
